I'm really getting excited about Augmented Reality programs! ZooKazam is an easy favorite of mine! For the most part, this app is Free for iPhones & iPads! There are some in-app purchases that allow you to see a wider range of animals. The fees range from $1.99 and up.
Update: Users no longer need 'target' to be printed - a very nice update to the program! Thank You!!! When the app is launched, select the animal you want to 'play with', aim the device's camera to a countertop, the grass, or just about anything and see amazing images of animals...not just the image, but the animal interactively moving about your screen! The animals become a part of your world, crawling all over your furniture and more! It was so much fun seeing a giraffe in my bedroom this morning! Another nice feature is that you can snap a picture or take a video inside the app itself and it is saved to your devices photo album for sharing. This is how I was able to take this picture of the giraffe!
This would be great with Kinder & 1st Grade friends before & after they visit the local zoo or during their animal unit!
I can get lost tinkering in programs, so it was hard for me to put this one down. All I have to say is "Nicely done Atlanta AR Design...nicely done!"
