You've heard the expression: "A picture is worth a 1,000 words"... Well, by adding pictures and creating a collage, 1,000's of stories can come blasting off the page. This is the beginning of great Storytelling....
I happened upon Loupe Collage (http://www.getloupe.com/create). It was so easy to add pictures of things I like: a smiley face, Chick-fil-a sandwich, my favorite pair of sneakers, a cute picture of a Golden Retriever, sunflowers and of course, a picture of me.
Once the pictures are in place, you can "unleash your imagination!" - change the shape of the collage to a large in-app assortment of shapes! Next steps....print or save the image. Students then can write stories about their favorite things, with this as a backdrop. They can create a blog about their collage or use it in a presentation or any other number of ways to display it and tell their story.
The point here is.....Storytelling! Getting the Students to create and innovate...one of their Standards for Technology.
