How fortunate we are to have amazingly supportive Administrators that say "Yes!" to ideas like transforming an extra Mobile Unit into a Robotics Learning Cottage! Today was our Grand Opening and the Students were so excited....we were too! Today's challenge was to have Students run their Lego Mindstorm NXTs through a maze of color. Who took pictures? Our Principal! She was as excited as the rest of us! Gotta love it!
Ideally, all K-5 Students will learn the basics of Robotics and Teachers will have access to great lessons from a host of topics....of course tied neatly to Common Core and ISTE Standards! You can't see it from the picture, but there is a file cabinet that we're filling with ideas, schematics and a bunch of pride in a super product!
This is a great idea!
