A fun, yet challenging, coding experience for K-5 Students is Lego Mindstorms "Fix The Factory", by Lego-Group! This App is free in the App Store and also available online (http://www.lego.com/en-us/mindstorms/games/fix-the-factory). It has fantastic graphics, levels up appropriately and maintains a challenging and fun way for Students to develop strategy skills, coding skills and complex thinking skills. I'm a huge fan of Lego anyway, so this was a given up front; but when I started tinkering, the rewards for leveling up became very exciting! It is tricky until you get the hang of it, so persistence is a must here. That being said, younger friends in K & 1st, may find it too challenging, especially in the upper levels.This program is in our bundle of offerings during our Month of Code in December, as well as anytime we pull out iPads. Great stuff!
